We just LOVE sailing. No motor fumes and expenses just the sound of the wind and the waves as the vessel responds to the elements and makes way through the waters. Of course you are more at the mercy of the wind and the waves, but that is part of the relaxation and the joy of sailing.

Unlike motor boating enthusiasts, the direction of travel is also dictated by the wind and plotting a course to the intended destination may involve a less direct route. Sailors have to work with the elements not push their way through them. They watch for the ripples across the surface of the water indicating wind gusts, scrutinise the set of the sails for any slack or flapping, watch the skies for indications of change in the weather and are always watchful for changes in wind direction. It is so relaxing to be carried by the wind and the waves. Yes we absolutely LOVE to sail.

We are not into racing. I no longer have the need to prove myself better than others. Just like sailing we need to catch the winds of fortune and allow the necessities of life to flow to us.
